Meet Julian01 / YOUR STARTING POINT
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Bring the situation you’re in, and we’ll start there.
You’ve moved from doing the work to helping others do it. Delegation, feedback, and your first difficult conversations are suddenly part of the job.
Build your leadership practiceThe team is getting bigger, but too many decisions still flow through you. Make ownership explicit and build a culture that holds up as you grow.
Create room for your teamYou’re navigating change, taking on more scope, or questioning what comes next. Work through the tradeoffs and decide what growth means for you.
Get clear on your next step02 / A PRACTICAL APPROACH
Coaching should connect to the work in front of you. We’ll examine what’s happening, challenge the assumptions, and turn a useful insight into a concrete next step.
I use three lenses to find what needs attention: people, product, and process. Then we look at where you can make a difference: yourself, your team, or your organization.
What working together looks likeChoose a lens. Start with one question.
What conversation are you putting off?
Can people disagree and still move forward together?
Where would a stronger relationship unlock progress?
A starting point for reflection, not a scorecard.
03 / YOUR THOUGHT PARTNER
Engineer by background.
People leader by choice.
I care about building teams where people can do good work, have honest conversations, and grow into more than they thought they could.
I’m an engineering leader based in San Francisco. I’ve worked with companies at every stage, from small startups to large enterprises. My experience spans hands-on software development, mobile and web teams, and helping engineers and managers grow as their organizations evolve.
My goal as a leader is straightforward: teams with less drama, more ownership, and the ability to spot and solve problems together. That takes clear expectations, trust, and the willingness to say the thing that needs saying.
As a coach, I bring curiosity and a practical perspective. We’ll make room for reflection, and we’ll keep asking what it means for the decision, conversation, or change you need to make next.

04 / WORKING TOGETHER
A thoughtful conversation, a useful next step,
and space to learn from what happens.
Tell me what’s on your mind, where you want to grow, and what you’re looking for in a coach. We’ll explore whether we’re a good fit.
Agree on a direction and a cadence that fits. Bring a live challenge to each session and connect it to the kind of leader you want to become.
Try a conversation, an experiment, or a different way of working. We’ll reflect on what happened and adjust together.
A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT WONDER
Engineering managers, tech leads, and experienced engineers stepping into leadership or taking on new scope. The common thread is wanting to lead people and teams more thoughtfully.
There’s room for both. Coaching helps you examine your thinking and find a path that fits your context. Mentoring draws on relevant experience. We’ll use the approach that helps with the situation you bring.
A difficult conversation, a delegation problem, team friction, a career decision, or a sense that something isn’t working. You don’t need a polished problem statement. We can make sense of it together.
We’ll agree on a cadence around your goals and the pace of change. Every other week can be a useful starting point, with time to put ideas into practice between conversations.
Get in touch to discuss your goals, session cadence, and pricing. We’ll agree on the scope and rate before starting a paid engagement.
LET’S START WITH WHERE YOU ARE
Tell me a little about your role and what you’d like to work on. We’ll take it from there.
A little about you.
A place to begin.
